The Search page is conveniently divided into searches for ideas and searches for knowledge (ROKs). When searching ideas a User can limit the search by the Status achieved, submission date, expiry date, the User who submitted it, the branch it originated from, the type of reference material, and a custom date property. Search results are displayed and a User simply clicks on a Topic's title to open the Topic.

To search ROKs, there are similar options - advanced parameter selection includes all fields from all form elements (including dynamically generated custom form elements), for example return on investment, date approved, implementation level and branch, reference material attached, etc, etc.

In addition two quick, useful searches - ROKs less than 24 hours old, and ROKs marked for expiry or deletion in the next week - are available as instant selections.

IdeasTracker even stores your last four searches in Recent Searches.

Boolean operators (NOT, OR and quote marks) can be used.
