| Submitting a Record of Knowledge | |||
|
The Knowledge section is very versatile. Four pre-built forms (Best Practise, Process Improvement, Product/service Innovation, and Cost Saving) can be augmented by creating custom forms. The forms are based around getting the pertinent information quickly - the small text boxes encourage a User to input just the required information, and link any supporting information. This form shows the entry of a Process Improvement ROK (Record of Knowledge), and the tracking of which branches have implemented the improvement. Tracking the return on investment is important so you can see how ideas and knowledge are benefiting your company. If the improvement came as the result of an idea, the original Topic can be linked to this ROK, as well as other reference material. Each ROK is given a unique ID when it's submitted. Any User can submit ROKs, but a Team Leader must approve them. A User can (with approval) can be his or her own Team Leader, giving instant access to approving knowledge. A ROK isn't searchable until it's approved. Other information stored with the ROK is the date submitted, date approved, and the submitter. |
