The Opportunity Director administers Topics and Replies, looking for opportunities to implement an idea to provide a positive benefit to the company.

The job is reasonably simple as the peer review system within IdeasTracker means that weak ideas will be apparent, as will strong ones.

For ideas to get implemented quickly and efficiently you must be able to see their progress towards implementation. Statuses, such as Project Plan Complete, can be assigned to the Topic and Replies to keep a track of them, and an audit trail of the Topic ('Topic Progression') shows what has happened, and when. One or more Users can be assigned to implement the idea ('Assigned Users'). When a User is assigned, he or she receives an email detailing the Topic.

A temporary ROI field can be used during the implementation of the Topic. Once a Topic is implemented it can be turned into a ROK, and becomes knowledge for the whole company.
