How IdeasTracker works for you
One of the key challenges for magazines and periodicals is finding
enough material to fill the pages, and ensuring that material is
submitted, subedited and proofed on time.
IdeasTracker allows you (and your editorial staff) to enter article
ideas. These ideas can be peer reviewed, then assigned to the relevant
writer (in some cases this may not be the person who came up with
the article idea). Statuses can be assigned to track, for example,
collection of media, photography, booking travel, interview transcription,
subediting, proofing, etc - the statuses are completely customisable.
Each journalist/writer will be able to see which articles are open
and in progress, and whether they're assigned to any articles.
Resource material (including audio files, images, web links and
links to existing articles) and the final article can be incorporated
into the article idea until it's finally published. At this time
it becomes fully searchable across your organisation so if someone
suggests a similar article in a couple of years' time you can easily
see what was written before.
IdeasTracker is geared to allow editors to save time, and keep
a track of a multitude of articles at any one time. Writers can
easily see their responsibilities, and the whole organisation develops
a resource of intellectual property.

IdeasTracker is so reasonably priced that the first idea might
return your investment several-fold.

If
you have a writer who submits an article idea, but doesn't end up
writing the final article, you could split the payment equitably
between the two.
